Stein students in Ms Hall's class took a break from their regularly scheduled science curriculum to learn a little more about important dates in Women's History.  Most students were surprised at how recent many of the laws were.  

Stein sophomore Annie Cornejo created artistic and empowering letters.  She decorated the hallway with Stein senior Shyann Lown.

Shout Out to Stein's Art Teacher, Mr Webb. Step into Mr Webb's classroom or down hall's Hall and you immediately see it. Color, creativity, and confidence. The walls tell a story.

Mr Webb's art program has become more than an elective. It is a space where students find their voice and produce work they are genuinely proud of.

Congratulations to Sylvia McGowin and Julian Shain, the first two members of the 300+ Club in Barbering. Their black smocks look so sharp on them!

Simple machines in Mrs Peltz's Physical Science class.  Students worked from kits and had to follow directions to build their simple machines.

Stein Students Step onto the Professional Stage at 831 Barber Expo

Students from the Stein Barber Academy recently attended the 831 Barber Expo in Seaside, California, where they had the opportunity to learn, network, and experience the barbering industry at a professional level.

One of our own, Kevin, competed in the Professional Gentlemen’s Cut category. Notably, he went head-to-head with licensed professional barbers, representing Stein with confidence and skill. Competing at that level speaks volumes about his preparation, technical ability, and commitment to the craft.

Our very own David Silva, Counselor, served as Kevin’s model for the competition cut, supporting our student both in and out of the chair. The experience provided real-world exposure, professional feedback, and a clear view of what excellence looks like in the industry.

We are proud of Kevin for stepping into the arena and grateful to Mr. Silva for supporting our students in such a meaningful way. This is what career technical education looks like in action.

Mr Webb's Art Class honored Black History Month by learning about the famous graffiti artist Jean-Michel Basquiat and his influence on the worlds of art, fashion, and hip hop.
