PAL PRE-APPRENTICESHIP TRAINING

Board President Steve Abacrombie and Sgt Richard Gram came to Stein to present information on the PAL Pre-Apprenticeship Program to interested students.

This program gives our students an opportunity to get paid to get trained and join union trades in the construction field. This year, 12 graduated seniors will be chosen to start the inaugural program right on TUSD soil. After that the plan is to expand to an after-school program offered to TUSD students or those graduate, ages 16-24.

STEIN TEAM WINS EARTH DAY!!

Stein's science students Maria Mendoza and Oscar Hernandez won the Tracy Earth Day Challenge with their Queen Bees project.

Their project  raised awareness for the plight of endangered pollinators.  They also offered common sense and easy solutions to help address the issue.

Students were recognized for their efforts at the Tracy Earth Day event on Saturday, April 27.  They were given their trophy, medals, and a check for their science class.

Congratulations to the Queen Bee Team for their hard work!
