GRADES DURING CLOSURE

GRADING DURING CLOSURE

Tracy Unified School District recognizes that school closures due to COVID-19 are challenging times for our students and families. The California Department of Education requires districts to provide Distance Learning Education to our students during school closure to include assigned work. As stated by California Department of Education, for the duration of school closure due to COVID-19, “students shall be held harmless”. This means Distance Learning assignments during school closure may only be used to help a student’s grade.

The District is currently working on a Distance Learning Grading Plan for grades PreK-12 for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year, with the end result that all teachers assign final grades for all students at the conclusion of the school year. More information will be provided by the District in the near future regarding the grading plan.

DISTANCE LEARNING

Distance Learning web pages are available on each school website. Look for the "Distance Learning" icon. We also have all school page links on the district COVID19/School Closure page.

Distance Learning work will be graded.  Please review all information on your school's website.

Starting April 20th teachers will have office hours and emails to contact them.  They are posted on each district learning page in the upper right hand corner.
